More and more realtime features are making it into mainline

Realtime Linux Roadmap

Good news from the Realtime-Preempt project:

  • High resolution timer support for the remaining ARM subarchitectures and for PowerPC and MIPS merged into the release candidate of linux-2.6.24
  • High resolution timer support for 68knommu running in the lab

Check out our updated Realtime Linux Roadmap.

There is more good news about the release of the 2.6.23 kernel: The lm93 driver that was submitted for inclusion into mainline as part of the OSADL Upstream Submision Program is now available in a released kernel version. Support for the lm94 controller will follow soon.
