Embedded Linux made it into space

US Air Force selects Embedded Linux to control a recently launched tactical satellite.

On December 16, the US Air Force launched the tactical satellite TacSat-2 running Embedded Linux developed in part by the OSADL founding member DENX Software Engineering. Congratulations to the people at DENX and to all the other developers who worked hard to make this happen! Do we need another proof that Embeded Linux is a highly reliable operating system that can be used even for the most critical mission?
