OSADL celebrates its 10-years anniversary
Ready for the next decade
Would you have thought that 10 years have passed since the Open Source pioneers of the automation industry have launched the Open Source Automation Development Lab? Indeed, OSADL was founded in December 2005 and turns 10 in these days!
Although initially intended to act as kind of a "purchase community" of Open Source software, OSADL has become an "allrounder' - i.e. whenever a company decides to use Open Source software in one of its products, OSADL services are needed. These services cover but are not limited to:
- Software development - "Real-time Linux on the go!"
- Quality assurance - OSADL QA Farm
- Legal support to ensure license compliance - OSADL Legal FAQ and assessments for members
- Audits and certification of Open Source products and processes - OSADL LCA
- Certification of Open Source software to be used in a safety-critical environment - SIL2LinuxMP project
- Installation support, training, coaching - OSADL consulting
- Fostering the collaboration between industry and academia - OSADL Academic Members
- Organization of conferences and workshops - Real Time Linux Workshop, e.g. 2015 in Graz, Austria
Thank you!
Let's take the opportunity of this anniversary to also say "Thank you!" to our members and to everybody who helped OSADL become what it is now. All of this certainly would not have been possible without our members and their spirit to create a community of companies with the common goal:
"Let's do together what can be done together so we can do better what needs to be done alone!"
