Organizational Structure

The working group on safety critical systems is part of OSADL, its legal status is to be that of OSADL. The documents are released to the participants and OSADL members, and made available to the general public with no legal guarantees of any sort (to be specified in detail). The liability question regarding released documents , recommendations of procedures and OSS packages is to be discussed with members, basically the intention would be to release any such effort as joint initiative of all OSADL partners involved in the safety critical Linux working group as a "best-effort initiative" - this implies that all participants accept that OSADL has no liability to the fitness of documents and recommendations. At the same time OSADL should be able to play the vendor role for industrial partners as mandated by respective standards.
