German lawyer, internationally recognized expert on software and copyright law

Till Jaeger attended the universities of Mainz, Germany, and Dijon, France, studying law and graduating in 1998. He then wrote a thesis on copyright law through a grant of the German Research Foundation at the postgraduate college "European Privacy Protection Law" in Munich, Germany. In 2001, he was accredited as a German lawyer.

Dr. Till Jaeger was one of the first to be interested in legal aspects of Free and Open Source Software. He is a co-founder of the "Institute of legal aspects of Free and Open Source Software (ifrOSS)" and is one of the institute's managers. The scientific work as well as seminars and conferences of the ifrOSS institute focus on software and copyright law.

From 2001 onwards, Till Jaeger is partner of the JBB lawyers' office where he is taking care of software and copyright cases.
