Realtime Android for industry
Pierre Ficheux, Open Wide
Android is another famous OS based on Linux kernel. It runs on more than 80% of smartphones but has just started to be used in industrial world. Android lacks real-time functionality and famous bus support such as SPI, I2C, or CAN. The author will explain how to use Android over an RT kernel (based on Xenomai extension). In addition, he will talk about extending Android framework in order to write industrial applications in Java.
