OSADL's first book "Linux in Safety-Critical Applications" is out
Launching our new book series "OSADL Academic Works"
Bridging the gap between academic work and industrial practice
OSADL's main purpose is to provide services to the automation and machine industry in the context of Open Source software. These services center, among others, on real-time capabilities of mainline Linux, on drivers and board support packages, on migration tools, on safety certification, on general legal advice related to Open Source licenses and on the organization of conferences and seminars. Last not least, bridging the gap between academic work and industrial practice, OSADL encourages and assists researchers to publish academic work on the above topics in books to make the results of academic research available to a larger audience. In doing the latter, OSADL gratefully acknowledges the cooperation with Roland Kammerer who agreed to publish his diploma thesis as the first volume of our newly launched book series "OSADL Academic Works":
