Initial Kickoff Group

A initial kickoff group needs to be formed that should include partners that have on-going projects utilizing Linux or targeting Linux usage. This needs to be partners with the ability to provide:

  • specific requirements
  • clear context in a specific standard
  • definition of target systems
  • safety requirements specification of the system

An initial subset we had the opportunity to discuss this initiative with are listed below - this is though no requirement but simply a suggestive starting point.

  • ICT (Inst. fuer Computer Technik, TU-Wien) - confirmed participation.
  • DSLab (Distributed and Embedded Systems Lab, Lanzhou University.
  • Thales Group RSS (Rail Signaling Systems) - will participate in this meeting based on ongoing investigations regarding the option of using Linux for certified systems.
  • Siemens CT - has confirmed there willingness to support this effort based on ongoing research projects.

If appropriate I would like to contact further potential partners in the name of OSADL.
