NAME

blocksys - block CPU for a given amount of NOP cycles  

DESCRIPTION

The blocksys driver reads a numerical string that is written to the /dev/blocksys device and blocks the current CPU for the number of given NOP cycles. This driver is only intended for testing purposes.  

EXAMPLES

To trigger a CPU block, write the number of blocking NOP cycles to /dev/blocksys

echo 2000000 >/dev/blocksys
