Invitation

All OSADL members are cordially invited to participate in the OSADL Networking Day 2026 in Heidelberg, Germany. This yearly in-person-only event offers an opportunity to share experiences, discuss best practices, and shape the OSADL community. It consists of a conference session with talks by renowned experts, hands-on workshops, open discussion rounds and plenty of time for networking, followed by an evening program and a dinner for all participants and speakers. The OSADL team is looking forward to welcoming as many OSADL members as possible and, on request, a limited number of invited guests to Heidelberg for the 2026 edition of this well-established member event.

Conference session

This year, the Networking Day's conference part aims to offer a selection of topics under the heading "Spotlighting regulatory and functional requirements on FOSS". There will be three topic tracks, one on vulnerability handling in FOSS components in light of the Cyber Resilience Act, one on Zephyr RTOS, and one on FOSS compliance toolchains. In each topic track, participants can expect deep-dives into legal, technical and practical facets of the specific areas.

The conference session will kick off with a keynote that considers the human aspect of implementing regulatory and functional requirements. This is followed by plenary talks on each of the three topic tracks. In the afternoon, the three topic tracks will divide into parallel breakout sessions with two rounds each. The breakout sessions will consist of hands-on workshops or moderated discussion rounds that are opened by lightning talks.

We are pleased and grateful that the speakers have accepted our invitation to share their knowledge and exchange ideas with the participants.

Evening event

After a full day of insightful sessions and technical deep dives, the evening program offers a change of pace with an entertaining escape room experience "Hacker Attack". All participants will face challenges and solves riddles together to find the culprits. Once the "crisis" has been resolved, we warmly invite you to a relaxed barbecue dinner with plenty of networking opportunities in a casual atmosphere over food and drinks.
