The Interdisciplinary Center for Scientific Computing (IWR) supports the development of novel and innovative mathematical and computer science methods with the goal of enabling computational solutions in natural and social sciences, engineering, medicine, and humanities. As such, IWR naturally builds bridges across disciplines and fosters interdisciplinary collaborations between research fields. Associated with the IWR, the Scientific Software Center (SSC) strives to improve research software development practices at Heidelberg University and beyond, to ensure reproducible science and software sustainability. The SSC promotes Open Science through its open-source software development projects and dedication to building reusable digital infrastructures for the research community.
