The mission of the Real-Time Systems Laboratory (RETIS lab) at the Scuola Superiore Sant' Anna in Pisa, Italy, is to conduct research, both theoretical and applied, in the field of Information Technology. Its specific focus is centered on Real-Time Embedded Systems design and analysis, including telecommunication systems, automotive, multimedia, industrial control.
ReTiS occupies a prominent position in the international scientific community in the area of real-time systems, as demonstrated by the volume of publications produced by the laboratory. This international role of the laboratory is confirmed by the many research projects, financed primarily by the European Union, in which the lab collaborates with prestigious foreign universities.
The RETIS lab is involved in a number of important research projects, for example:
- S(o)OS - Service Oriented Operating Systems - www.soos-project.eu
- ACTORS - Adaptivity and Control of Resources in Embedded Systems - www.actors-project.eu
- IRMOS - Interactive Real-Time Multimedia Applications on Service Oriented Infrastructures - www.irmosproject.eu
- IperMob - A Pervasive and Heterogeneous Infrastructure to control Urban Mobility in Real-Time - www.ipermob.org
